The first half of the 19th century was very productive as far as Basque writers were concerned. 14 members of the Larramendi school continued to write and the most prominent ones were: Iztueta, Juan Bautista Agirre, Jose Ignazio Gerriko, Francisco Ignazio Lardizabal, Joakin Lizarraga and Prince L. L. Bonaparte.
