She studied Information Science at the University of Navarre. Since the 1980s she has been working for the Euskadi Irratia radio station (of the Basque Autonomous Community broadcasting corporation); she used to run and present the programme Goizean Behin. This programme won the Rikardo Arregi prize for journalism in 2000. Nowadays she runs Arratsaldekoa programme.
She has also written columns for the newspaper El Diario Vasco.
The Hika drama group put on a stage performance of her most well-known novel, Ai Ama! (Alberdania,1999).
In 1992 she had her first book of short stories Ezer baino lehen published and that same year Euskadi Irratia broadcast her radio serial Maite, maite, maita. In 1995 she published a collection of stories under the title Lehenago zen berandu. In her publications she has written about human relationships more than anything else, and has followed the oral tradition.
In 1999 her essay Ai ama! deals with her reflections on motherhood.
