He holds a PhD in Information Sciences. He did his university studies in Leioa, Bizkaia (journalism), Barcelona (television) and Moscow (foreign trade). Today he is a tenured lecturer at the EHU-University of the Basque Country.

He has worked as a journalist and news reporter for the Herri Irratia radio station in Bilbo (Bilbao), the magazine Anaitasuna, the newspaper Egin and the ETB (the television broadcasting corporation of the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country).

He has contributed to the magazine Argia and the newspapers Egunkaria and Berria as well as to the radio stations Bizkaia Irratia and Euskal Herria Irratia.

As a university lecturer and researcher he has had his works published in a number of books as well as in the Uztaro, Jakin and Zer
journals.

In addition to journalistic and university genres, he has developed the genres of the short story (for the Idatz eta Mintz magazine), the novel (with the Elkar publishing house) and the essay (with the Alberdania publishing house).
