He has lived in Beasain (Gipuzkoa) since he was a child. His love of literature stems back to his youth; nevertheless, he completed technical studies and currently works as a draftsman.
He started writing a little when he was young - in Spanish, because he had almost completely lost his Basque. When he returned home after completing his military service, he retrieved his Basque and worked at the night school in Beasain until the Goierriko Euskal Eskola assumed a kind of professional status at that time. Since then he has had more time to devote to literature.
He has written many articles for the yearly publication Beasain Jaietan; mostly relating to the history of the town and the area.
