Pedro Alberdi Zinkunegi

Eibar (Gipuzkoa),1957.

A teacher of Basque by profession he has been living in Bilbao for many years. He holds a degree in Basque Philology. He currently runs the Bilbo Zaharra Forum.

At the start of his literary career he had the following works in the children's and young people's literary genre published: Handitzen naizenean (Alberdania, 1995) and Nire kalea (Erein, 1998). This second work earned him the Lizardi award. In 2000 he had his essay Satorrak baino lurperago (Alberdania) published. In this essay the author, who had been awarded the Joseba Jaka bursary in advance, wanted to write a sentimental chronicle of the culture and political atmosphere of the 60s and 70s.
